Description

The Rika Pants pattern offers two distinct styles in one design. With a high rise just below the natural waist, a three-piece waistband, angled front pockets, a fly front zipper, and a straight leg, the Rika Pants can be tailored or workwear-inspired based on your choice of details.

View A has a cropped, tailored look with deep hem cuffs, a tabbed waistband, angled belt loops, and rounded back pockets with flaps. View B features a full-length, utilitarian style with a classic waistband, wide belt loops, and carpenter-style back pockets.

Recommended Fabric

Stable bottom weight wovens such as cotton canvas, twill, denim, gabardine, or corduroy.

Notions

• 7" (18 cm) pants zipper
• One 5/8" (16 mm) button OR 1/2" (13 mm) sew-in hook and bar closure for pants
• 0.5 yd (0.45 m) of fusible interfacing
• 0.5 yd (0.45 m) of pocket lining
• Optional: snap buttons or small buttons to secure back pocket flaps on View A
• 2 yd (1.8 m) of double fold bias tape for finishing waistband (may be replaced with serged stitch)
